Sabrina Che’s practice questions consciousness and divinity, circling ideas of being in both anchored and impermanent ways. Her work layers meaning through materials and moments woven together.
Che’s most recent body of work includes stone altars, layered shrouds, stitched together, and photographs with embroidered edges. The photographs with silk embroidery along the edges encapsulate their own sense of place.
Prodding in ways we reveal ourselves while also drawing lines outside the physical realm. Each piece is an interpretation and reflection, offering a meditative viewing moment.
